Vatterott College
Founded in St. Louis over 30 years ago, Vatterott College provides career focused training and educational opportunities in the health care, medical, computer science, and technical fields. The school's high quality training programs have been recognized by the Missouri Association of Private Career Schools, which gave the college its award of “Best School”.
The College's programs start every ten weeks, and classes are scheduled so that students can work as they get their education. The college offers extensive job and placement services, including mock interviewing sessions, campus career fairs, and job search coaching. Vatterott graduates have gone one to take positions at employers including Tenet Healthcare, St. John's Mercy Medical Center, Express Scripts, and more.

Cosmetology
This fifty week diploma program can prepare you for a career as a hair stylist in a beauty salon. Students learn the techniques and procedures of hair care, including shampooing, hair cutting, comb outs, and permanent waving. They also learn the technical, safety, and management aspects of cosmetology, including cosmetic chemistry, hair structure, salesmanship, and shop management. Graduates are prepared to take the State Board examination to become a licensed cosmetologist.

Cosmetology Instructor's Program
Become qualified as a state cosmetology instructor with this 20 week program that includes training on the principles of teaching, student psychology, classroom management, and 300 hours of theoretical and practical lab practice in cosmetology.

Dental Assistant
Gain the skills necessary to work as a chairside dental assistant at a dentist's office or dental clinic. The 40 week program includes training on dental office procedures, radiology, dental materials and equipment, sterilization techniques, and other skills. In addition to classroom and laboratory training, students participate in an externship program, where they get hands-on experience in a dental office.

Manicuring and Sculptured Nails
Start or advance your career in personal care with this 13 week training program that prepares you to take the state manicurist exam. Students gain experience with manicure techniques for fingernails and artificial nails, hand massage, and pedicures. They also receive instruction in safety and technical aspects of the field, sterilization, anatomy, and chemicals, along with shop management.

Massage Therapy
This 30 week program provides an introduction to massage and related techniques, and prepares the student for the National Certification Examination for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. Beginning with an introduction to anatomy and physiology, the program teaches soft tissue manipulation and complementary therapies. During the last portion of the program, students spend half their time practicing massage therapy techniques.

Medical Assistant
Get the training you need to assist physicians and other health care professionals in a medical office, hospital or clinic with one of Vatterott's Medical Assistant diploma or Associate degree programs. The exact courses taught vary by campus, and typically include training in clinical and lab procedures, medical coding and billing procedures, medical transcription, law and ethics, and more. Medical Office Assistant
This program combines office administration and professional skills training with instruction on the principles of health care and medicine. Students learn health care concepts, including human anatomy, pharmacology, insurance processing, and medical office management skills. They also receive computer skills, and are trained in business math, technical writing, team dynamics, and problem solving. The exact courses taught vary by campus. Pharmacy Technician
Learn the skills and technical knowledge required to assist licensed pharmacists in this 90 week Associate of Occupational Studies degree program. Coursework combines training in the medical, technical, and management aspects of the pharmacy tech position, including courses in medical terminology and anatomy, Medical dosages and pharmaceutical calculations, pharmacy office management, ethics, and computer and communications skills. Psychiatric Assistant
Prepare for a career in mental health with the 60 week diploma program in psychiatric assisting. Students receive training in medical and mental health skills and illnesses. Topics include psychomedications, mental illnesses, addictions, and developmental disabilities. The program also includes training in medical ethics, and concludes with an internship and career development course.
