TechSkills offers career training and certification programs at more than 30 locations across the country, including California, Illinois, North Carolina, and Texas. The complete list of campuses offering medical training programs is listed below.

The school's unique programs are designed to teach Students the skills they need to start or advance their careers. Courses are custom-designed to fit each Student's needs, and can be taken any time, and completed at the Student's own pace. Programs include hands-on training, and also offer online learning options.

Students and Graduates can take advantage of a customized CareerForge program that helps them plan their careers, create their resumes and find job opportunities.

Medical Office Administration

Gain the skills and knowledge needed for a front office position in a doctor's office or clinic with the Medical Administrative Assisting training program. Through a combination of hands on and instructor based training, students develop the knowledge required for positions including medical records technician, medical secretary, or medical billing clerk.

With training in computer skills, medical terminology, medical insurance and billing procedures, HIPAA regulations, and business communications skills, Graduates are ready to start their careers in the health care field. Not available at all locations.

Medical Billing

The Certified Billing Specialist program at TechSkills prepares Students for positions including Patient Accounts Representative or Medical Reimbursement Specialist. Coursework included topics in computer skills, medical law and ethics, including HIPAA rules and regulations, professional development, billing, and reimbursement.

Medical Coding

The Certified Coding Associate program prepares Students for positions in insurance coding and billing, medical records management, and other positions in allied health care. Courses include medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Students learn medical coding systems, including ICD-9, CPT-4 and HCPCS. They also become familiar with the new Government HIPAA regulations regarding information disclosure and recordkeeping. They develop their computer skills with training in medical accounting and office applications. Courses in communications and professional development round out the program.

Medical Transcriptionist

Start a new career in this growing area of allied healthcare, or upgrade your skills to prepare for the Certified Medical Transcriptionist examination. The Medical Transcriptionist program includes training in inpatient and outpatient medical transcription. Students also learn medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and develop their computer skills using applications like Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

Pharmacy Technician

Prepare to work under the guidance of a Registered Pharmacist, taking on duties such as assisting patients, ordering supplies, and compounding medications. The Pharmacy Technician helps prepare Students for the Registered Pharmacy Technician exam. Coursework includes Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Calculations, Medical Terminology, and Pharmacy Technology. This program is not available at every location.

Admissions and Financial Aid

Prospective Students can get started by completing a brief online request form. An Admissions Specialist will contact you to explain the school's programs, and answer any questions you may have. Financial assistance, including grants, loans and GI Bill educational benefits, are available for qualifying applicants. Grant and GI bill benefits vary, depending on the campus you choose to enroll at. The Admissions Specialist can explain the exact benefits available at each campus.
