The Ohio Institute of Photography and Technology

Originally formed as a school to train photographic professionals, the Ohio Institute of Photography and Technology added medical career training in the 1990s. The school's campus, located just south of Dayton, include classroom and laboratory facilities, along with a resource center for Internet access. Small class sizes contribute to a family like atmosphere.

Programs and Courses of Study

Medical Assistant

This 60 credit hour diploma program prepares graduates for careers in allied health care. It includes training in many skills used in medical assisting, including clinical procedures and lab techniques. Courses include Medical Terminology and Anatomy, Medical Office Procedures and Pharmacology. At the end of the program, students participate in an externship.

Medical Office Management

Gain the medical and business skills that lead to a position in medical office management with this Associate of Applied Science degree program. In addition to training on the fundamentals of medical assisting, students learn medical coding and billing, medical transcription and computer skills. Management related coursework includes human relations and psychology, human resource management, and communications and writing skills.
