The Ohio Institute of Photography and Technology
Originally formed as a school to train photographic professionals, the Ohio Institute of Photography and Technology added medical career training in the 1990s. The school's campus, located just south of Dayton, include classroom and laboratory facilities, along with a resource center for Internet access. Small class sizes contribute to a family like atmosphere.
Programs and Courses of Study
Medical Assistant
The diploma and associate degree programs prepare graduates for careers in allied health care. The diploma program includes training in many skills used in medical assisting, including clinical procedures and lab techniques. The associate degree program includes training on computer and word processing skills, and prepares graduates for the Registered Medical Assistant certification exam. At the end of both programs, students participate in an externship.

Pharmacy Technician
Students earn a diploma in this nine month program, which prepares them to assist pharmacists in preparing prescriptions, dispensing medications, and acquiring and maintaining patient information.

The first step in the admissions process at OIPT is to complete an online request form. You'll be contacted by an admissions representative at the school who can answer your questions, and arrange for a campus tour. The school has a financial aid office that can assist in exploring all the financing options available for each student, including grants and loans.
