Clayton College of Natural HealthClayton College of Natural Health was founded by a Doctor of Naturopathy when he discovered a tremendous interest in the power of holistic nutrition on the part of customers at his herbal supplement store. Dr. Lloyd Clayton founded the College in 1980, and since then, over 25,000 students and graduates have participated in its programs. The school's distance learning format is an appealing alternative to campus-based education for busy adults. Course materials are distributed to students, who study at their own pace. Testing is conducted online, or through the mail. Faculty members act as coaches to the student, providing support, and responding to questions by phone, fax, or e-mail. Students are given up to five years to complete most degree programs. The College's educational principles ar built on the principles of Naturopathy, which is the belief that healing and good health will result when the human body gets the healthy environment it needs, including a proper diet, sunlight, rest, and appropriate exercise. As more and more people look to natural alternatives to invasive medical procedures and prescription drugs, interest in natural health is increasing.
