Indiana Business College

Health Care Management

This program helps students develop the leadership, management, and critical thinking skills that can lead to a supervisory role in a health care setting. It is designed for individuals holding associate degrees in a health care field, including medical assisting, medical coding, or massage. Students learn accounting, marketing, finance, and law as these subjects relate to the healthcare industry.

Medical Assistant

This Associate degree program prepares students to assist physicians with patient examinations, laboratory tests, and other examining room procedures. Students also learn front office skills. The Medical Assisting programs are accredited by the accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs on the recommendation of the American Association of Medical Assistants Endowment (AAMAE). This program is offered at all campuses.

Medical Assisting with Functional Spanish / Spanish for the Medical Community

These programs teach Spanish language skills to English speakers, allowing them to communicate with and assist Hispanics with their health care needs. Studens can take this program in conjunction with the Medical Assistant degree, or as a standalone program for individuals already in the health care field. Offered in Indianapolis.

Medical Office Assistant

This diploma program provides training in skills that allow you to perform front office duties in a doctor's office or clinic. Students learn appointment scheduling, word processing, records processing, and medical practice software. The program is available at all campuses except Columbus and Elkhart.

Associate Degree in Nursing

This program offers preparation for becoming a registered nurse, and taking the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses. Students learn learn the professional and clinical skills needed to provide care for individuals and families. Students participate in a practicum as part of their education. Offered at the Indianapolis Medical Campus.

Surgical Technician

Surgical Technicians are responsible for assisting surgeons in the operating room. They prepare patients for surgery, and make sure that all equipment is sterilized and ready for use. This Associate degree program combines classroom training and clinical experience to prepare the graduate for an entry-level position.This program is offered at the Indianapolis Southeast and Indianapolis Northwest campuses

Therapeutic Massage Practitioner

This certificate program teaches a variety of massage techniques, including Swedish Full Body massage, sports massage, kinesiology, reflexology, and acupressure Students also learn client assessment and communications skills. This program is offered at the Indianapolis Southeast campus.
