Hesser College
For more than 100 years, Hesser College has been providing educational opportunities. The private school has approximately 950 students, with almost half living in campus dorms, and the remainder commuting from the surrounding New Hampshire area.
Hesser College boasts an extensive library, with online access available, a center for Teaching Learning and Assessment that helps students who are falling behind in their studies, and an extensive career center and placement facility. Because of its large number of resident students, the school offers a number of on-campus activities, including sports teams and student organizations.
Degree Programs and Courses of Study
Massage Therapy
The diploma program in massage therapy prepares students for entry level positions as massage therapists. The program includes training designed to allow graduates to take the National Certification Examination for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.

Medical Assistant
The school offers an 8 month Medical Assistant diploma program, as well as a full Associate degree program. Students learn key skills in the classroom, and then get to practice them in the lab. Courses include Nutrition, Medical Procedures, and Medical Coding and Billing. The program includes an internship.
The Hesser College Medical Assisting Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), on recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation for Medical Assistant Education.

Physical Therapist Assistant
The Physical Therapist Assistant Associate degree program prepares graduates for careers in rehabilitation services. Coursework includes Human Kinesiology, Therapeutic Exercise, Physical Therapist Assistant Procedures, and Pathophysiological Conditions. During clinical training, students practice heat and cold application, ultrasound, and electric stimulation.
The Physical Therapist Assistant program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education/APTA. Graduates of the program will be able to sit for the Physical Therapist Assistant Certification Exam.

Psychology
Hesser College offers both an associate's and a bachelor's degree in Psychology. Both programs include core coursework in basic psychological principles and research methods. Students can choose from electives to develop expertise in specific areas, including social work, clinical psychology, counseling, or applied psychology. Fieldwork in the form of an externship is available.
