For more than ten years, Capella University has offered online degree programs for working adults who want to add to their skills and advance their careers, but don't have the ability to attend a traditional college. Accredited by the North Central Association, the school is the fastest growing distance education university.
The educational experience at Capella is asynchronous. That means that instead of attending classes at a fixed time, students can access course materials 24 hours per day from their Internet connection. Typical students access course materials about four times per week. The total time spent participating in online classroom discussions, accessing course materials, working on group projects, and conducting research is about ten hours per week.
The school offers access to an online library and research center. A unique IGuide serves as an entry point to all the school's services, including courses, student records, and school services. There's even an online bookstore.
