The Bradford School

The Bradford School offers programs designed for students who want to enter the workforce quickly, with the most relevant training for their new career. As opposed to traditional colleges, with their requirements of general education courses that don't appear to be relevant to a future career, the courses at the Bradford School have been selected to provide focused training that provides the skills necessary to land that first job after graduation.

Offering career training since 1912, the school has campuses in Columbus, Ohio and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The school offers fast paced degree and diploma programs with small class sizes. Many faculty members have experience in the fields they teach. The school has a career services department that works with graduates to get them placed in their first jobs.

Degree Programs and Courses of Study

Medical Assisting

In this 14 month Associate degree program, you'll receive hands-on training in the skills most in demand for employment at hospitals, clinics, and physician's offices. Students learn to assist in clinical patient care tasks, including examinations and treatment. They learn lab procedures, including hematology, phlebotomy, and specimen collection. And they learn computer and communications skills, including record keeping, billing, and scheduling.

Students take additional courses in supervision, psychology, ethics, and more. The program includes a two month internship.The medical assisting program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education programs (CAAHEP), on recommendation of the Curriculum Review Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants' Endowment (AAMAE).

Dental Assisting

This program offers students the chance to learn in a simulated dental office environment. The program incldues training in chairside assisting, expanded function dental assisting, materials used in a dentist's office, radiology and more. Students can graduate in 16 months. Offered only at the Pittsburgh location.
